IAH by bananapancakes

This is the biggest airport that I’ve been to. I had a connecting flight here and I thought that I would be able to just walk to my next terminal. I kept following the signs, but then I ended up in the Terminalink, which is a small monorail that takes people to other terminals. The terminal I needed was in a completely different building!

Given the choice, I'd fly out of Hobby. by Emily

This isn’t my favorite Houston airport. It’s huge – five terminals, to be exact. Most locals I know use Hobby, which is easier and faster to get in and out of.

That said, there are lots of great restaurants here – Harlon’s or Pappa’s if you’re in the mood for barbecue, Pappasito’s for Tex Mex, or Chili’s and the usual fast food if you’re really unoriginal.

If you’ve got a tight connection to make, you’ll want to hop on the inter-terminal train. If you miss your connection, you might as well stay on it. It’s a fun way to kill time.

Terminal B blows by Jim Carson

As the other commenter said, Terminal B, Continental Express, is a teeming mass of humanity and too few seats. It’s a terrible place to sit.

Terminal E, where I am typing now, has good wireless connectivity and some kind of second level area. Pappasito’s Cantina does passable TexMex (not as good as the civilian version); just around the corner is the Little Creamery featuring Blue Bell ice cream. I recommend the vanilla.

And while you’re connecting terminals, cheer my photo of the statue of

George H.W. Bush, for whom the airport is named. (This is not the image that I have when I think of GHWB.)

E terminal has a good duty-free and some nice places to eat. B terminal (Continental Express) is totally ghetto, though.

Maybe they’ll name an airport after R8 someday. After all, he’s unique. Three airports is enough for the middle of the night.
