Why I recommend this place to visitors  — 1 year ago

    Worth visiting!

Elve’s Peanut Patties are worth the $1.09 you pay for them. La Casa Rosa besides being the oldest Mexican restaurant they are the only place you can get puffy closed tacos. The dam @ Lake Texarkana is a good place to write your name. Robert Utsey, Sr was the most awesome band director/teacher of all time. He is his own Opus. About 35 miles towards Houston on Hwy 59 is Cass County, i suggest going there for the Greatest Yellow Meated Watermelons!

A tip I have about this place  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

Living on the Arkansas Side is Cheaper, Working on the Texas Side pays better. The best restaurants are in Texas Side.. and ALL the liquor stores are on the Arkansas Side.

I Walk the (State) Line  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

Is it Texas? Is it Arkansas? I’m so confused!

I’ve been here many, many times. Mostly I pass through here on my way somewhere else, like up to Illinois to visit my grandparents. And if I could still visit my grandparents, I would love to go through here again.

    Nice little town.

"Twice As Nice"  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

I live here. It’s not all that exciting, but Texarkana has it’s fair share of folklore. It’s located directly on the Arkansas/Texas stateline. The post office is built on this line and split down the middle, half in each state. There’s this big sign in front that identifies the line and marks it. It’s a local tradition to take pictures here and other things like that. It also good fun for a drunken night on the town. “I’m in Texas. Now I’m in Arkansas”...
