Why I want to go to this place
I have fond memories of growing up in Nisqually Valley. The Wildlife Refuge was put into place after I moved away. I don’t live too far away to visit, I just haven’t gotten down there yet. I’ll definitely have to go there soon.

When I came through here it was by boat on the Nisqually River. We launched from the 6th Avenue boat launch and landed at Luhr Beach.

Don’t forget cash for the $3.00 per family entry fee. I had to pay mine in change!
