Highest point in lower 48…must climb!

I’ve hiked it twice – from the west and east. I’d like to do the Mountaineers route and the “East Face” which is a classic climb.

i did it a couple years ago. It was such a challenge. I have talked to a few people that have hiked it in the last year and they really enjoyed the hike too.
I want to go maybe next year or year after that. It is really important that I get in good condition before the hike. Its not easy.

I hiked Mt. Whitney two weeks ago. It was exhausting (even for an experienced backpacker) but well worth it. Make sure you take trekking poles and some sort of exta traction for your boots, as there’s snow on the trail year-round. Prepare for high altitude too!
