Fiji

It’s been a full ten years since we were in Fiji, and I wonder if this place is still standing. One of the best pizzas I think we’ve ever eaten, loaded with green chiles. The only thing better on the island(s) was all the delicious curry.

make sure to visit and support a fijian village, drink and partake in the kava ceremony, snorkel, visit Castaway island, island hop, get a massage, hike, and start drinking at 10 am =P

i loved fiji! it was so relaxing and i got the best tan! the whole atmosphere was wonderful! all i did everyday was eat, sit by the pool, eat, sit by the pool, have a shower, go to the villages, eat, and sleep. it was worth the visit!

I lived on Viti Levu back in the late 90’s for a year and a half.
Fiji’s a great spot, I guess I prefer Samoa over it though for the people….and the kava!

I was excited to be going there on account of their apples but I don’t see none, the place had no apples, just the mangos. I is cheated by the Fiji and will not go back

We went to the island where they filmed Castaway and we had the opportunity to jump off the boat and swim ashore. Now I was thinking since I’ll never be here again I’ll do it and then I can say I did it. As soon as I jumped into the water I thought about sharks and I swear I almost had a heart attack. I’m panicing and swimming as fast as I can to shore. I have never been so terrified in all my life, but I’m glad I did it. I will never again swim in the open ocean, well at least not that far away from shore. The islands out there are beautiful and I’m not much of a beach person, but I would go back if I have the opportunity.

Went to fiji for our 10th anniversary. We stayed on Taveuni Island at Marava Plantation resort. It was GLORIOUS…..The burre cottages were beautiful. The food and service was great. By far the best part of the whole trip was the people of fiji who were so friendly and loving. Our travel agent told us we would be changed forever, and we of course scoffed. Boy, we we WRONG. As we left the resort, everyone came out to sing us goodbye. Neither one of us could even hold up a camera to take any pictures because we were CRYING too hard. We bought a CD of the local music and now in 2008 over 4 years later we can hardly listen to it without breaking down!!!Go Ahead call us SAPPY, we are used to it. Nothing will ever change our opinion of the place. It truly is our paradise. We hope our daughter and her boyfriend can get married there someday. We challenge anyone to go, and not come back changed for life

The islands are beautiful but stay away from the cities.
