Milwaukee, Wisconsin

I love living in Milwaukee for its culture and diversity. There are many different neighborhoods that offer different things to do. Milwaukee is known for its beer, and there are definitely enough bars to go around — but there is so much more to Milwaukee than just drinking!
Summerfest in the summer, all of the ethnic festivals before and after Summerfest. Milwaukee Art Museum, Brady Street, and the Third Ward are all great places to visit.
My two tips:
>> www.onmilwaukee.com has reviews and keeps a calendar of events happening in Milwaukee every week. Going to a concert in one of the local venues or other events makes your trip to Milwaukee even better!
>> Do NOT swim in the lake, even if it is 200 degrees outside, even if you see people in it, even if people tell you it is okay. Take my word for it! It smells terrible, and that should be a warning. Beautiful to look at — dangerous to your health to swim in!
