Mount Kosciuszko, Snowy Mountains

Beautiful!

Sunscreen, sunscreen and sunscreen. Seriously. It doesn’t matter whether it’s sunny or cloudy and you can also get windburn to add to the discomfort. If you’re not used to the sun, even if you’re covered up – the parts that aren’t, will get burnt. Don’t forget a drink and good walking shoes. It’s a long walk. Get there early if you’d like to take your time. Expect to spend around 5+ hours.

Helsinki, Uusimaa

Hei!

Actually my travel agent asked me why I’ve chosen to go to Helsinki this year. (Probably because it’s going to be Winter there and I’m giving up glorious sun-drenched days back at home.)

There’s no, one particular reason, but I’m sure I’ll find many reasons to be glad I went when I get there.

Point Nepean National Park, Portsea

Point Nepean National Park

The Point Nepean National Park is based in Portsea, right on the tip of the opening to Port Phillip Bay.

While it is a tourist destination, there’s much here for the locals as Point Nepean is immersed in history. It’s a very beautiful place, & if you choose to go on a day during the week, there’s a good chance of having the place mostly to yourself. (Providing it’s not during Summer or school holidays.)

It most definitely is a place for reflection. Don’t forget to bring good walking shoes!
