Folk Village Theme Parks in Japan
These are historical theme parks (or living museums, if you will) that recreate life in pre-modern Japan in the form of replica villages. Except for Meiji Mura, (which shows life during the transitory Meiji period in most of Japan), these villages offer a look into what life was like in the area that the village is in and showcase local arts/crafts.
