News: Colman Park  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

Part of a chain of leafy green spaces that include Mt. Baker Park to the immediate south and Leschi/Frink/Madrona a few blocks north. Not to diminsh the remarkable, massive, engineering feature/public park space that is the I-90 lid/Sam Smith/East Portal Park complex occupying much of the space between Colman & Madrona’s Park’s Romantic pastoral acreage blobs.

Discussion: Colman Park  — 2 years ago

Like a ten-acre Romantic landscape. A mini-arroyo, with a remarkable Olmsted Bros. serpentine switchback for cars and bikes. I’m delighted to live near this park. I’ve been a free-loader and missed the many clean-up initiatives but I none-the-less admire them and use them to prop-up my sense of optimism.

There are new trails going in that connect to the top of the Dose Terrace stairs.
