    Worth visiting!

These days there are Starbucks and other coffee chains everywhere, but I still remember the days when it was a real novelty to visit one and while away the afternoon in an armchair.

I didn’t go inside as it looked pretty busy, but I did take a photo of the sign outside. It was interesting to see how the original logo differs from the current one.

So I can officially say I’ve been there :-)

They had the original logo… but the coffee tastes the same!

    Not worth it!

I enjoy Starbucks. But visiting this location seemed like visiting any other Starbucks location. Except you can still see the original logo where the mermaid has bare breasts, there are no chairs. That’s about it. So don’t set your expectations high, and you’ll enjoy saying you’ve been to the original.

If you’re a diehard Starbucks fan, you gotta go! My parents and I had a great time in Seattle before our cruise to Alaska. What a great city!

It’s cool to go there, but really only so you can say you went there . . . because there is not much to the place. Going to Seattle anyway? Sure, make sure you stop by, but don’t plan a ton of time for it. I’d spend more time in the Fish Market, personally, which is fun, but again, not worth a special trip to Seattle, IMHO.

    What. Ever.

It’s like going to the first McDonalds, or the first Kentucky Fried Chicken, or the first Coca-Cola bottling plant.

Don’t go here. Go find an honest-to-goodness mom-and-pop espresso stand.

I wanted some caffiene and they had it. Everyone was happy as a result.

A review of this place: It's just a starbucks.  — 1 year ago

    Not worth it!

Seattle (the NW in general) is full of random coffee shops and houses that are just fantastic! Don’t bother with this particular one, unless you’re in Pike’s anyway and just wanna say you did it.

and have a need to see the original storefront.
There’s no place to sit inside, they want you in and out in a hurry no lingering in a big comfy chair like other locations I’ve been to. I’m a tea lover, but out of town guests insist on stopping in at this location as a novelty.
