Went here during a cruise and visited the El Yunque rainforest, where the fountain of youth is located. Also a big fan of Old San Juan. Those different colored houses look so cool!

Stay at the Caribe Hilton. One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in.

Just got back yesterday. Great place. Stayed in El Convento in the center of Old San Juan. The buildings are beautiful, the beaches weren’t crowded, and the restaurant selection is vast.

I was in san juan feb. 06 and it was great. It was insanely cold in DC and the break in San Juan was great. It was hot and I could wear tshirts and flip flops. I went to the beach and saw the rainforest. Def. reccommend staing at the Caribe Hilton. It has a private beach and such. Really nice. A little outta the way from Old San Juan and casinos. Don’t take the taxis from the hotel tho. Walk down the street and get one. Also ate somewhere called Bebo’s which was really good. Love plantains!

My dad and his girlfriend went about two months ago, and it looks really beautiful in the pictures. Hopefully, I’ll get to go next year.

I was in San Juan twice in a week in May/June 2002 on my way to and from St. Maarten. Only spent about five hours there total, and all in the airport, much of that in U.S. Customs inspections.
I certainly hope my airport experience wasn’t indicative of the entire city, or of Puerto Rico in general. If I went back to the Caribbean, I’d quite likely stop for a couple days in PR and have a better look at it.

I visited San Juan, Puerto Rico about 7 years ago and loved it. I found it to be absolutely gorgeous with the most amazing views of the water.

I stayed in Viejo San Juan. The streets are very narrow and hard to navigate, but it is worth the hassle. The nightlife is great, the people are friendly enough if you make the effort to talk to them, and the forts El Morro and San Cristoval are amazing.

I really enjoyed staying and visiting the fort and seeing the little siteseeing places…wouldn’t stay for too long, but worth making it for a day or 2 if you can.
