Worth visiting!
All I saw of Dublin was the crappy area around the train station, so I can’t really say.

I need to go back!
Every single person I met was hospitable, friendly and laid back. The pubs are spectacular, and the architecture is beautiful overall.
It’s a fun, festive, cosmopolitan and cultural city. I went to the St. Patrick’s Day arade while there, and it was grand. It seemed as if the entire city came out for the event, which started the previous evening with fireworks at the River Liffey. It was a real thrill.
I also visited the outlying countryside and towns (i.e., Howth) and they are also wonderful.
Thanks, Dublin. I will return!

...it was last year, on December, the first week. When my daughter and I arrived in Dublin, the sky was really the “Irish sky”, blue with light white clouds, but unfortunately, the things changed the following days. Well, one of the reasons I went to Dublin, was the “Book of Kells”, that I had wished to see for many years. So, the day after we went to the Trinity College, but there was a long row of people waiting, and so we thought to visit it another day. Well, you can’t believe it, but the last day of the journey, just one hour before leaving Ireland we discovered that we had forgiven to go there again!!!!
We visited many splendid places in and out of Dublin (Cashel, Glendaloch, Cahir, Powerscourt) and the time was gone so fast! Now i think that it was the fate to decide for us, because so I know that I’ll must go to Ireland again!

You can do all the touristy stuff in a couple days. Really get in and experience the culture after you’ve gotten that stuff out of the way. Oh, and make sure your travel companions aren’t going to complain the whole time. You won’t have much fun if they do!

My plan is to visit Dublin sometime in the next two years with my sister. She’s always been such a huge fan of Irish culture, and I think the place looks beautiful and so interesting. I’d love to stay at a quaint local hotel, visit some pubs, explore the city, and maybe take some sort of tour of castles in the greater area. I really don’t know where to start putting it all together, but I’m excited about the thought of it nonetheless!

Visited all the typical places, took the bus tour, loved the Guinness Brewery and it’s Gravity Bar, and went to many sites found in Ulysess.

Not worth it!
Maybe I went at the wrong time of the year because I thought Dublin was pretty dull.. Maybe the fact that I stayed in a horrible youth hostel didn’t help. Wouldn’t recommend it. I suppose if you’re going on a drink-fest with a group of friends then maybe it’d be great.

We went here on our honeymoon in 2002 and went freestyle. Rented a car and just drove around. Went to Dublin, Waterford, Shannon, Limerick and other places. Oh they know how to do a breakfast in Ireland!
