Zagreb

Well I went through town twice and I’ve been to the train and bus stations and the airports. Those were all fine, but I wouldn’t exactly check this off as if I’d BEEN there. It looked very big and most of it looked pretty urban. There’s lots of graffiti and eastern bloc looking apartments. The downtown looked interesting but we didn’t have time to explore.

A calm city but you should visit Dubrovnik …. i havent been there but its a charming place at least thats what my Croatian friends say.

Zagreb is a the beautiful Kaptol of Croatia. You can see everything from Victorian architecture to centuries-old portions of the city, all within walking distance to the Centar. Don’t want to walk? No problem, take the ZET tram.

I’m going march 1st. To study for a semester at the uni of Zagreb.

I have a friend named Gregor that lives in Zagreb.As a photographer,I am naturally drawn to war-torn countries and there are still areas here roped off because of land mines.Not only do I wish to see my dear friend but the Dalmation Coast in croatia is rumored to be one of the most beautiful in the world.I hope to do this if not this year,then by the end of ‘07.

Just a great place with the old and the new combined!

Most interesting parts to visit are all in Stari Zagreb (Old Zagreb). It’s a completely different city up there. Quiet, save for the occassional works project on some of the older buildings. Bring your appetitie; lots of littel kavanas and outdoor restaurants.

I recommend this place because I grow up here….it’s my hometown! I’ve lived in Frankfurt/Main and now I’m in NYC…crazy town….but my heard will always be in Zagreb.
