Not worth it!
I totally understand why most people love Rome but it was just too much history and religion for me so it rather got under my skin instead of amusing me.

Much to my dismay, Rome was actually quite a dirty city! Though I highly enjoyed seeing all the ancient artifacts, I was slightly disappointed at all the graf covering the collumns and how dirty the streets were. I thought that, considering it’s vivid history, the peopletter care of what is left of it.

i love roma! it has the charm of an ancient city but is busy and exciting like any modern city. i just fell in love while i was here. i tried to replicate the sites Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck visited, but i didn’t hit them all. i missed out on the Mouth of Truth, but i’ll be sure to see that the next time i’m there!

I love Italy, and have been there many times (I am fortunate to live close to the border), but have yet to go to Roma! I can’t wait to get there! It is one place I might consider visiting as a tourist.

Well, my husband and I will be laid over at the airport in Rome for 10 hours on our trip from Tunis to Cairo. Is it feasable to leave the airport and see any of the sights during this lay-over? Are there any great places to see close to the airport? We might just have a meal or enjoy coffee at a cafe. Any suggestions? I am just excited to be able to leave the airport and have a look around. I am not an experienced traveler, but is this possible?

Worth visiting!
It’s crammed full of amazing ruins, architecture and art – sometimes to the point of being overwhelming.

Bellisima! although the men kinda smell and the women don’t shave, yet the food, history, and atmosphere is wonderful!

Roma is worth visiting to see the history, but it is a busy, dirty, and unsafe city in some areas. I would go back, but this time I would be better prepared with lower expectations.

Bummer. The Rome trip is off, at least for this year. But all is not lost, I will be going somewhere in Europe this summer, and I have many fabulous options. I may be checking a few places off the list. (How exciting!)

I’m going! This summer, I will be there for two weeks. It will be my first trip to Europe. I get to see all of the Art History sights that I’ve always wanted to see, and church history too. An interior design instructor and an episcopal priest are leading the tour. I can barely contain myself!
