here for a school function. It would’ve been nicer though, if the people around me nagged me less.

Virginia is awesome! I loved the beach, Colonial Williamsburg, and the Tyson’s Corner Mall. I also enjoyed Busch Gardens and the beauty of the state. I liked seeing the Arlington National Cementary and the home of Thomas Jefferson. This is a great place to go, I want to go back now!!!

I was born in Richmond and lived there until I was ten. I visited frequently throughout my young adult life, and moved back in 2001 to Roanoke to be near my sister. My family and I spent a year there, and realized South Carolina was home, and we returned to SC. I still visit my sister often in Roanoke and will always hold a special place in my heart for my home state.

The bits I saw (Dulles) weren’t worth visiting, but I’m sure there are other parts of the state that are…

One of my favorite places here is hollywood cemetery. If you are into that sort of thing you will love it.

Such a pretty place! But cold in the winter, hot in the summer. I should know, I was stranded there for a year hehe. I’m one of those pussycat girls that likes to curl up by the fireplace when the temperature drops under 50F =P Imagine how Miserable I was at freezing temperatures half the year!
What is with this place?? Winter lasts forever!

I rather enjoyed visiting the sites of the original American colonies. American history is generally boring until you actually see something of it. And I must admit that standing on the bow of a ship of a similar make as the one’s that crossed the Atlantic hundreds of years ago, I had to respect history a bit more than I had previously. I also enjoyed it when my friend heckled the various period characters walking around about their slaves.
