I’ve been here for a lay-over, so I don’t exactly consider me going here.
I didn’t do anything but eat McDonald’s as I waited to come back home.

Go to Cape May! It is old and beautiful and romantic. The restaurants are amazing and the beaches are clean.

I LOVE how everyone drives. It’s hilarious, I’ve never seen anything like it. In Michigan, the other person drives as if there isn’t a car cutting them off and would rather hit them than slow down or stop.
What I seen in Newark and New York was crazy, but organized. So even though a semi almost slammed into us on a bridge and we drove down the wrong side of the street, people were aware.

I’m from South Jersey, which usually isn’t the ‘Jersey’ people who aren’t from around here think of. I lived there for the first 18 years of my life and it is where I learned to appreciate nature, farming, plants, animals, and so on. I grew up in a smallish farm town near the Pine Barrens and most of my family still lives there or around there and since I live in Philadelphia now I travel back by train often. I can’t say I could live there, I love urban life and having access to everything and anything, but whenever I go back I realize more and more how much growing up there did have its positive impact. The photo above is of my part of my maternal grandmother’s property. I love it there.

I drove from Washington DC to Boston and back, passing through New Jersey both times. What I saw outside New York was industrial and very smelly. The southern part by Delaware is nice.
I don’t like the fact you can’t pump your own gas. The prices were cheap ($3.17) but the wait was too long. Also, It felt very lazy having someone put gas in my car.

I grew up in north Jersey – there’s a lot more to do and see in the state than most people think. Lots of great historic sites, nature, farms, cities, the beach.

Well the last time I went to New Jersey was in 2005 and I was there visiting for about a week. It was right after I graduated from highschool. I had lived in New Jersey all of my life until my parents and I moved here to Florida back in 2002. I have mixed feelings about my old home. I miss it because it was my home and I miss the shore and going over to lancaster, new hope, ect. But I dont really miss any of the people. Yes I miss my brother but other than that…. All well, Im so happy that those days are over and Ive started a new chapter in my life. Im going to make my twenties the best years of my life. And do what I WANT to do.
