Martial Arts in China  — 1 week ago

    Worth visiting!

I went to China trained in martial arts for a couple of months and went around; Yantai → Dalian → Shanghai → Beijing → Yantai → Yangshuo → Guilin → Dalian → Hong Kong.

It was awesome. I had the best time in China, saw some amazing things, ate some amazing food, and met some amazing people. I’ll be heading back again as soon as I can, I want to train some more and see Xi’an and more of this stunning country.

A rumor about this place  — 2 months ago

I am thinking of going this December, just for a brief visit.
It just seems that every time I think it’s finally the right time to go, another story hits the papers about contaminated food or some kind of environmental crisis. Am I worried about nothing?

My youngest sister was adopted from China in 2002. I love and love and love her (with more love on top). Someday, hubby and I hope to adopt one of our children from there, too.

    Government?  — 5 months ago

    Worth visiting!

I was afraid or uncomfortable with the politics of this country, but I went anyway and I am so glad I did – after all I don’t even like my own government’s foreign policy, and who am i to “throw the first stone”? the people, sights, adventures, and everything else about this country is FANTASTIC!

Why I want to go to this place  — 8 months ago

APRIL ‘08 I CAN’T WAIT!! I’m going to Hong Kong for the first time in April, only a month away from departure date. Not really sure what to expect. I hear a lot of mixed things from the people I have met who have been to Hong Kong. Everyone on this site seems to have pretty positive things to say. I’m a little worried about the language barrier. I’ll post as many pics as I can when I get back!
