New Zealand

New Zealand is absolutely perfect. It it weren’t for the love of my family I’d move there tomorrow.

Mountains, lakes, volcanoes, rolling green hills, and azure blue bays. Stunning towns and an easy laid back capital city. You can do everything from swimming with dolphins, to skydiving or hiking glaciers.
The attitude and lifestyle of the Kiwi people and the fascinating history of the Maori culture are added bonuses.

I had the time of my life here.

Only 2 months to go, and so excited.

we are doing a whirlwind tour including jet boating, caving at waitomo, sledding on sand dunes, visiting parks with native fauna, enjoying a maori dinner, visiting several national parks, including fiordland, whale watching, swimming with dolphins, and penguin watching.

So freaking excited!

I don’t know why, but this place is amazing!! When i was horseback riding during sunset in Kairkoura, it occured to me that this is the place i wanted to live! I can’t explain it, but i loved everything about NZ! I went there almost 9 months ago, and i still need to go back! I was by myself when i went there and will definitely be willing to go back once i save up money, most likely i will be by myself when i go back, but i really do love it there! The land and the people are just amazing!

1. Milford Sound – the highlight of my trip. Don’t research it, ‘cause words can’t describe the beauty of Milford Sound…Just do it. From Queenstown, find a tour or arrange a bus/helicopter to Milford Sound with a boat tour at your destination. From there, enjoy the Sound in all it natural beauty. Simply put, it’s a lake surrounded by mountains, yet it’s different from anything I’ve ever seen (and I live near the Rocky Mountains and go hiking lots!) Pictures and words don’t do this justice. If you like and appreciate nature, this is a absolutely MUST see!

2. Doubtful Sound – I didn’t see this, but after going to Milford Sound, I’ll bet this one is just as good. The site where I learned about the 2 Sounds recommended them as the top two places to see in New Zealand. From what I read, it’s not as touristed and untouched.

3. Hobbiton in Matamata – If you’re a Lord of the Rings fan, this was a great experience. It requires a bit of imagination to see it as it was in the movie, but it’s easy to do in the midst of the sheep and lamb baa-ing, the big tree, and the rolling hills.

4. Queenstown – Beautiful setting. If you’ve been to Canada, it’s like Banff, but bigger, and with many adventure activities. Go up the gondola as the view of the city is spectacular.

I think I wana do the Kiwi experience to see all of New Zealand and if I can save the money add on a Fiji trip.

My dad grew up in New Zealand, and it is supposed to be a fantastic, natural place.

You can see why Lord of the Rings was filmed here. Also my amazingly wonderful boyfriend cheered me to go here apparently, and I’m still here and loving it. Everyone should go, the meat pies are amazing.

Amsterdam

Between the nature and the adventure, this sounds like an amazing place to visit.

Lived in NZ for three months, totally awesome place to live the people are mostly all great the culture experience is awesome and fish and chips are sweet as.
