Why I recommend this place to visitors  — 1 year ago

    Worth visiting!

It’s an amazing place! I did a study of NGOs and how they affect National Building in Developing African Countries so I went for 28 days.

Why I want to go to this place  — 2 years ago

I’ve heard about how amazing it is and me and my best friend “adopted” this country when were 14 and since then we have always paid attention to all the details. I heard a lot about Asmara especially and I think it would be beautiful to see

The last time I went to this place  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

I went to see my sick Grandmother. She’s since passed away but not a day goes by where I thank God I had the chance to go out to Eritrea and see my Gran one last time.
It is a beautiful place for so many more reasons too.

Every day for two years, I could see the mountains in Eritrea from my home in Sudan, but the border was closed. It was so frustrating! Had a few Eritrean friends in Sudan who told me I must got to Keren, Massawa and the capital Asmara.

This is not Ethiopia!  — 3 years ago

I did Medical Relief work with an Eritrean Surgeon. it was really an excellent time. I enjoyed mostly staying in Asmara (where I was working). and going to Massawa and the Sea. I was able to be there for the 12th celebration of Independence, so that was really very special to be out on the street with my Eritrean friends.
Architecture is fabulous, and the coffee is not at all bad either!!!

It is beautiful because of all the beautiful sites. I am actually eritrean, that is why I went there when I was eleven. I will be going there again this summer.

    I had a dream  — 3 years ago

As a kid I had a dream about having to go to ‘Eritrea’. For the rest I don’t remember anything about the dream, only the name of the country. I didn’t even know the place actually existed until a few years ago…
