- Follow some suggestions from Rick Steves’ Europe.
http://www.ricksteves.com/plan/destinations/spain/498barce.htm
http://www.ricksteves.com/plan/destinations/spain/spain1.htm
- Go to all 3 Dali museums. The web site says, “At least two days are needed to enjoy the visits to the three Dalí Museums properly. The distance between the three Dali Museums means that you have to allow for journeys of at least 40 kilometres if you want to go from Figueres to Portlligat (Cadaqués) and another 40 kilometres from Figueres to Púbol (near La Bisbal d’Empordà, heading in the Girona direction).”
- See the buildings of Antoni Gaudi, Josep Maria Jujol Gibert, Josep Puig i Cadafalch, and Lluís Domènech i Montaner.
- In Sitges, see Museu Cau Ferrat and buildings of Santiago Rusiñol.
- Maybe meet in person my friend who lives in Valencia.

Not worth it!
barcelona is a really a place to be if you enjoy your history and architecture. madrid was also equally lively as well. ancient cities like toledo offered us a different perspective. do go around spain if you can…
southern spain is also really beautiful

it’s very nice, and it was really hot when we went. we visited the park with all the architecture by gaudi and saw some other buildings he designed. barcelona is a pretty good place for people who like art, especially surrealism (dali museum). i also saw a lot of grafitti, but not just tagging like i usually see at home, there were lots of really cool things.

I suffered from food poisoning the night I flew into Spain, which probably resulted from bad plane food. Still, even when I recovered, I didn’t like the food any better.
Because of the food poisoning, I didn’t get to see really any of Barcelona… :(

I went there when I was in my 4th grade and the two things that really pop in my mind about being in Spain are:
1- My red school bag that I bought from there which I still have after more than 13 years now.
2- The roberry of some vedios from a department store – they were new released movies – funny thing at that time DVD’s were not around yet so the burglar had to steal vedios. And a lady with a red miniskirt from the department store was trying to retrieve back the vedios and pulling them from him. It ended up he running away with 2 or 3 vedios :)

I’ll be going to Spain on Saturday! Staying mostly in Barcelona and Madrid, though I’ll also be taking some side trips. I think we’re going to Toledo, Ibiza, and one other place. I’m excited :)

Spain is a big part of my country, the Philippines. spaniards colonized us for 333 years(am I right?). I just wanna experience if Spain is like our country and what they have given and adapted to us.;)
