Iconic art  — 12 months ago

Worth visiting!

Interesting and dynamic sculptures dominate this park, easily reachable from the city centre.

Worth visiting!

Vigeland Park was the highlight of Oslo. That and the fact that people pay for the subways in Scandinavia entirely on the honor system. Incomprehensible to an American – it would never work here.

Why I recommend this place to visitors  — 1 year ago

Worth visiting!

I live only 5 minutes walk from this place. I have a 2 yr old son and we use to tak him to the park. It’s a big park with a lot of space for the children to play. The park also have several restaurants and a cafĂ©. There is also a big playground and even an outdoor pool area (This has a separate entrance fee).

This pasrk is a great place to visit for all ages. Bring some food and have picnc in the free. Enjoy!

The sculptures are so expressive! It’s like each one have it’s own story, a whole life inside it. Really inspiring.

This park will take your breath away. It’s gorgeous, but the statues that represent different human relationships is amazing.

What a nice park  — 2 years ago

Worth visiting!

My girlfriend and I went here for the better part of a day, and while nobody in Oslo knew how to get there by transit (I think the system was under construction at the time), it was still worth it in spite of the headache it gave us to get there. We packed a nice picnic, including some beer, [Whoops, that’s illegal!] and I recommend you do the same. Then wander around and appreciate just how large this park is, and how interesting all the sculptures are.
