Andalucía

I have now been here for 2 days, and have started in my language school..after a quick test, I was put in a class which is exactly at my level. by 7pm on the first day, we were covering the subjunctive and imperative tenses. So, the first goal of preparing myself for my exams this summer is well underway….In 1 week I am thinking of hiring a car and travelling around Andalucia. I am very excited but more than a bit nervous about doing this myself, it would be great to have a co-driver. Preferably someone who can drive on the other side of the road!! I need to decide today or tomorrow whether to book a hire car or continue for another week here in Granada. I have yet to explore Granada although it looks a beautfiful city. I am going to see the Alhambra later on this week and can´t wait!!

I have now booked a language course too in Granada for 1 week with the Don Quijote school. They seem very good so far and have even sent me stuff through the post. 8 weeks to go!

I now need to plan how I’m going to do the roadtrip bit. Exciting!

Yes I am going. I had a battle with my conscience however. And what a battle it was. My dilemma was whether to go with friends or not and I have decided to go alone. Letting down my mates was a very difficult thing to do, but something I know deep down was the right thing. I want to do this alone for some very personal reasons. I booked my flights today to Andalucía and am looking forward to going over the Easter Holdiays. I´ll be hiring a car and pointing it in a direction and will just pick up company and accomodation along the way. It sounds risky, but I have my wits about me, and can´t wait for my 2 week adventure to begin!!
