Walk north on Peachtree to 10th St. Take a right and walk to Piedmont. Great bookstore called Outwrite. Should be a 15 minute walk. Also some good GLBT bars and clubs there. Have fun!

Sunday at Piedmont Park is the perfect day for GLBT. I go there on Sundays for photos, think pride parade condensed into park size. It is very fun.

I second what rtanksley said. We chose to live in that area at one time because it had a very welcoming attitude and lots of diversity. Most of the stuff I said before is within a 5-minute walk of Outwrite. I would just add that Nikimoto’s has the greatest sushi around.
Happy exploring!

OK, here’s my $.02. First, go back to your first question and check out my (late but) long and well thought out answer. :-)
Secondly, you couldn’t have picked a better part of town to be in.
Midtown is GLBT Central. That’s one reason I liked living there. I’m straight, but I like diversity. There are scads of bars, bookstores (and no I don’t mean those bookstores – although they are there too) and restaurants that cater to the GLBT crowd.
Check out Southern Voice (Atlanta’s Weekly Alternative GBLT Newspaper).
