What brings you to Duluth, and how long are you staying there? I’m not there enough to really give you a good idea of what bars to hit, but here’s some recommendations.

Make sure you catch the fourth of July fireworks show tomorrow night. The fireworks over Lake Superior are a treat.

Before you leave, you have to drive up the North Shore. There are a lot of fun stops along the way and if you are there into September/Octocber, you have to drive up the North Shore to see the leaves change. Also in September, your chance to see the Northern Lights (aurora borealis) is best.

If you like the outdoors, you might want to check out canoeing trips that depart from Duluth.

Also, try to get to Minneapolis/St. Paul for a baseball or football game in the Metrodome and a visit to the Mall of America.

I can’t wait to be in Minnesota again, it’s only a few weeks away.

Hey thanks for the ideas:) I am planning to stay here till September- October so I hope to see as much as I can. What about these Northern Lights you mentioned about- where I will have the possibility to see them?
What brings me here- I participate in a Work and Travel programme together with my boyfriend , so we will work and in the same time travel but maybe in September. Now we will just work and stay in Duluth. But it is pretty nice here:) I hink you know it;) So where are you from? What connects you with Duluth?

My family is all from Minnesota. My grandfather was born and raised on a farm, not too far from Duluth. Growing up, we’d spend a month in Minnesota. I live in Dallas now, and am in Minnesota quite a bit, four times so far this year. I’m planning to be there the weekend of July 31, but I don’t think I’ll be able to get away from work.

Where are you working in Duluth?

Bulgaria is on my list of places to visit and in September, I’ll be in Ukraine. Unfortunately, I wont have enough time to hit Bulgaria. Perhaps in the spring when I visit Hungary and Slovakia.

There is so much to do here.

If you love music we have a ton of local bands. Get the Duluth News Tribune on a Thursday and look in “The Wave” section. This outlines who will be playing where and such.

I just found out that there are Free Friday Night movies in Leif Erikson Park (the rose garden). Make sure you visit the Rose Garden in a month or so, it’s B-E-A-UTIFUL! Chester Park has free music on Tuesdays too.

Make sure you walk the boardwalk and get an ice cream cone or malt from the portland malt shop. Just off the board walk there are stairs leading up to it. One set of stairs leads to fitgers and the other to the maltshop. it’s delicious.

When fall comes around, GooseBerry is a nice place to go and also Enger Tower. The leaves are beautiful around here!

Be sure to pick a nice day and drive across the lift bridge and go to the very end which is Park Point and just enjoy the beach. a great spot to tan and just hang, sometimes can be real busy. there is also volleyball and soccer fields so it you like them or frizbee bring one!

Hmm… My new favorite bar is Dubblin on Superior St and 1st maybe? not sure on that. It’s got shuffle puck which is probably the coolest game, you gotta try it!

If you are interested in ships, take a tour on the William A Irvin. And even if you aren’t check out www.duluthboats.com to see the shipping schedual and see a ship arrive after dark. It is soooo pretty and amazing! You must do that!

There are probably like a million more things I could think of. So if you have any more questions or want more just lemme know. And if you need company, I could maybe come along? If you’re fine hanging with a 21 year old. Come to think of it I dont even know how old you are… oh well. I hope all this helpS!!! enjoy Duluth! I LOVE IT! :]

oh yeah go to a Huskey’s game too! n00b baseball! but its goodtimes!
