I had only been once (with spouse) in the summer and sat in one of their two open-to-the-outside tables, and I do not remember any noise problems. That may be different when the main area is closed up from the outside or you eat in the other enclosed dining room.

It was intimate enough for two people. I did not feel sandwiched in with other tables nor did I feel like I was a party to other people’s conversations. Obviously if you eat at the bar looking over the kitchen you will be rubbing elbows with other people.
