I would go to Lake Travis outside of Austin. The ride on CR 2222 is beautiful, and is quite a lot of fun on a bike. Lake Travis is great, not too crowded and there’s always Hippie Hollow if you’re so inclined!

Y’all have fun, now!

Well most of the towns along the coast where Im at are bay towns. Pt Aransas has become very commercial and I’ve avoided it for several years now. My favorite places are Port Lavaca, Palacios, Rockport/Fulton, Seadrift and Port O’Connor. If you want a unique view of the south Texas coast try the Arroyo Colorado (a river that leads into the Laguna Madre) Really pretty country.

anywhere in the hill country will be great to ride a motorcycle through!

hill country beings in helotes, and goes through boerne, new braunfuls, and especially the canyon lake area. these places have looooong stretched roads and i always see plenty of bikers on them :)

The January before last we stayed for a week or so in Rockport, a bit north of Corpus Christi. It was nice, small townish, and there’s a state park around an hour north that has free wifi Internet (Goose Point State Park). Rockport has lots of great places to eat.

I have a photoblog about our trip, including some of the places we ate. This entry includes us at the Boiling Pot, one of our favorites: http://jafo.ca/getentry.html?stamp=20050109_1812

There is the small town of Sargent, which is quiet and out-of-the-way, near Bay City. Texas City is nice, too.
