Hey I’m not sure there will even be any availabilities. I’m in the states right now but I head back on the 30th, hit me up with an email and let me know how much you wanted to spend and how long you are wanting to stay, maybe I can help.

I stayed at the Intercontinental. It was geared towards the business traveler, but it was a short ride from the airport and on the river. Also, it was walking distance to the museums, and just a short taxi ride away from the Zeil. It was very nice hotel with a great business center and good concierge. It was a little pricey though, and that was in the middle of Feb.

Thanks for the tip Vivavidya! Just checked it out and unfortunately the only availability they have showing for the time frame I was planning to be there for is way out of my budget at over 300 Euro a night…

Hi! I’d be careful staying in a hostel on Kaiserstrasse. You have to know that it is near the main train station and is also near the red light district in Frankfurt (Taunusstrasse). Kaiserstrasse used to be really bad, but has been cleaned up. You’ll still find a sex shop or two, but if that doesn’t bother you…
But you’re lucky if you can find a cheap place at all, because even rooms in private households will be hard to find now and probably expensive.

As long as the hostel isn’t one itself, I don’t mind the sex shops much.
How about the Ostendstrasse/Uhlandstrasse area? Is that any better or worse?

I talked to a friend who lives near Ostendstrasse/Uhlandstrasse, and she says that its okay to stay there for a few days, but the area isn’t that charming or nice (the buildings are sort of run-down). It’s not dangerous there, though (not many drugs dealers or criminal activities).
