What is the best way to get to parsons landing?, never been, dont want to drag all my gear by foot for 7 miles

You either can hike or kayak in. No public transportation that I know of. There is a campground at Two harbors that is an easy walk from the boat dock. Also one in Avalon up the canyon. You can take a bus from the plaza to that one. Hope this helps. Enjoy the island!!!
