I used to rent a serviced apartment through a company called Executive Apartments – website is www.exapts.com.au I think and are based in Charles Street South Perth. Their customer service was great. It worked out cheaper for me even as a single person to rent a two bed apt rather than stay in a hotel – and many of their properties have pools attached. Good luck and enjoy the city – you lucky things.

I totally agree! Apartments are quite a lot cheaper than a hotel and you usually have the added bonus of a kitchenette. Although, if I were to do it over again, I would stay in Freemantle and visit Perth City from there. I stayed in the centre of the city and almost went mad with the parking, beggars and beside the usual touristy stuff there wasn’t much on. I loved Perth but I would have rathered stay in Freemantle (it’s only a 10min drive).

TOO TRUE! I used to drive into work everyday, only to struggle to find a parking spot (I cycle to work now ;P).
Pretty much anywhere outside the city centre is good for parking, but Fremantle and Sorrento (well, pretty much anywhere along the coast) is great for tourists…
