A question about this place:
Where is the best place to go if I want to stay at a "party" hotel next to the Party spot on the beach?

The Hotel Finisterra is the best hotel on the beach and it’s close to all the party scene. I had the best time of my life in CSL. Enjoy!

One thing about Cabo is that you don’t party at the hotels. The beach is the place during the day and spots like Squid Roe, The Jungle Bar, and any other place you can find in town is where to go at night.

Spend the day at either Mango’s or The Office on the beach (or any of the places around there). Then go back to your place to get ready for some night life.

I always stay at either Marina Fiesta which is right next to town, or Pueblo Bonito Rose which is a little more of a walk, but right on the beach.

Plaza las Glorias is fun sometimes, but not all that nice and super far from the beach, but close to town.

The owner of the Jungle Bar is such a lying asshole that we would never go back there. There is a group of 70 people coming down in 2 weeks for a wedding and we will be steering clear of that losers establishments. Be careful what you drink if you go there…. He takes the cheapest white tequila he can find, mixes it with a bit of coke and sticks it in a quervo bottle so you think your getting the better stuff but your not. What a cheapskate!
The Nowhere Bar is way better!
I have lived in Cabo for quite awhile now…..take my word on this guy .Hes a scammer more so than the others here .

I usually stay at Club Cascadas (My In-laws have a time-share). I’ve noticed that as long as your in town your close to everything. Cabo San Lucas really isn’t that big.

I wouldn’t want to stay in one of the big resorts between the Cabos. It seems you would need to take a lot of cabs.

tiburon is correct that if you stay in town, you’re close to the action (you won’t have problems finding it during the day / at night). i stayed in a condo approx. 10km away (girlfriend did the planning…nice, however), which meant a lot of cabs (not too expensive / scarce, but nice to avoid). during my visit (thanksgiving week 2004), the typical nightspots like cabo wabo, squid roe, etc. were dead (these places are large, however). smaller places on the marina / near cabo wabo were bumping (unfortunately, i can’t remember their names / exact locations), however, and we had a great time dancing, drinking, and chatting it up.

Another thing- I stayed at a friends condo kind of away from the party scene but everyday my group would go resort hopping (never did we get any crap about not having wrist bands on, but perhaps we were lucky)
