A question about this place:
What's it like to live in PB? (ie. is it a constant party and how young is young in terms of the social scene?)

I lived there years ago when I was a UCSC student. (am now living in my native San Francisco). Cheap living, surprisingly quiet. Lots of young couples, a fair amount of mexican immigrant population (which I appreciated) - a big loss is that the “Los 7 Burritos” taco stand is gone - they used to mark their receipts with an inkstamp that read “I (heart) Julio Iglesias.” There were TWO supermarkets open all the time there.

Surprisingly pretty quiet. There are bars and clubs near the beach itself. Crappy paperback used bookstores—can’t compare with a big city but there’s border’s now, so that’s okay. Less of a resident culture there an Ocean Beach or even Solano Beach. Still, I found it remarkable fun to live there.
