A question about this place:
Second week of April, my wife and I will spend a few days driving along the coast from San Diego to San Francisco. It's our first time taking this drive. Any suggestions for exceptional "must see / do" experiences? Thanks!

I realize this is coming entirely too late, but, just in case this trip has moved to next year:

Hearst castle: especially the evening tour. or do both, but the evening tour is very nice

Everything Pfeiffer: Pfeiffer Beach, Pfeiffer Falls, Julia Pfeiffer state park

Salmon Falls

Collect some jade at Jade Cove
