A question about this place:
I am going to Langkawi to escape crazy new year celebrations in Laos. I want to stay somewhere where I can enjoy the beach and swimming, maybe a bit of partying, and also a nice guesthouse/hotel room so I can also get a bit of work done. Where to stay???

Tanjung Rhu is great! I’ve been to Langkawi on a trip for my company and had to visit almost all hotels there. I didn’t see any that was bad…

Tanjung Rhu is the one I loved most. Followed by The Datai (sorry, got no link for that one) and The Andaman (http://www.theandaman.com/)...

All three of them are located off the beaten path…
