A question about this place:
hi,i have been offered a programme in law by the university of lapland.i will be there for one year.i am really crazy on coming across the facts about this beatiful town.but what about the chances of getting a part time jobs in restaurants or offices?

That depends heavily, I think, on whether you speak Finnish or not. Restaurants and tourism related offices might do even without, as especially in winter time there are so many tourists around and English (and German and Japanese) become the main languages. :) But if you speak or can learn the basics of Finnish before your year in Rovaniemi, that’ll certainly help a lot.

There aren’t exactly masses of open jobs, but at least part-time work will certainly be found for those willing and looking hard enough for them.

hi,mita kuuluu!i have been slowly learning finnish.but it seems a little bit busy to learn when compared with other languages.i have got a legal practice of seven years in India and in Dubai, UAE.but i am ready to do any kind of job, even petty jobs, once i arrive there on part time basis so that i can meet my study and living expenses.if you can render any valuable help or advice i will be much obliged to you
