I rate it as one of the top liveable cities of it size anywhere in the U. S. A. Columbia is a college town and caters to students. It is also a liberal hub, but every city has a few faults. Example: Most public places it is illegal to smoke.

Housing costs vary depending on location and proximity to the campuses. There are great places to eat that don’t cost you an arm and a leg.

If you have transportation, most places are easy to find and get to with good directions.
