Well, the times I visited Denver, I had such a packed schedule that I didn’t see much music or visit many museums, but here is a website you might find helpful: http://www.artslynx.org/colorado/index.htm
But things I would suggest: WaterWorld, Coors Brewery, Anheuser Busch Brewery Tour (you can see the Clydesdales!!), the Denver Art Museum has an amazing collection, and if you’re into strip clubs, the Diamond Cabaret had the prettiest women, and it was a very nice atmosphere.
Hope this helps!

Places to see in Denver, or in Colorado in general? Since you’ll be there in February, there might be snow which can make touristing difficult. But, I might recommend…
The Denver Art Museum
Celestial Seasonings has a tour you can take (but they’re in Boulder)
The Melting Pot restaurant (fondu)
perhaps take the lightrail into LoDo and visit the Tattered Cover (excellent book store) & bum around downtown
The Arvada Center or the Denver Center and check out the current show. (theatre)
If you have time to go clubbing, try the Church.
The Denver Museum of Nature & Science
The Fillmore, the Bluebird (small venue concerts)
Red Rocks Ampitheatre (large scale concerts)
Beau Jo’s Pizza
...and that’s just the beginning, but you get the idea. Can you tell I miss Colorado? :) Hope that helps!

Denver has a lot of great things to see. The Colorado History Museum is one of my favorite places. There is an ice cream parlor in Englewood, but I can’t remember the name of it (a lot of help I am!) Fratelli’s rest. in Englewood has darn good food too.

If you don’t have a car, hire one, then drive out to the Rocky Mountain National Park. It’s quite a drive and you may want to spend one night at a motel in the area. The views of the mountains are not to be missed.

I’d say all the suggestions above are good ones. If you’re staying as far south as Colorado Springs, don’t miss the Garden of the Gods. Go at sunrise or sunset; it’s breathtaking!
Have a good trip!

Check out the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. If you come a few days earlier you can see a reading of my play 1001 there, but they also have good stuff on thier regulat stages.

It’s a sort of free adaptation of THE ARABIAN KNIGHTS, with part of it taking place in the present day – special guest appearances from Gustave Flaubert, Jorge Luis Borges, and Alan Dershowitz… I’ve been working on it for a little over a year in NYC, where I live. It’s part of a week-long workshop called The New Play Summit. They’ll be running three plays – Shakespeare’s MEASURE FOR MEASURE, August Wilson’s GEM OF THE OCEAN, and a new play called JESUS HATES ME, when you get out there. Hopefully they will produce 1001 at some future date and you’ll get to see it (but you never know with these things).
Thanks for asking!
