It’s extra nice if you have something to offer potential hosts – do you cook well? Offer to make evening meals for whoever hosts you. Do you know how to cut hair? Play an instrument? Fix things around the house? Speak another language? Offer those things and also expect to receive a lot of good insider information from your host.
