Make sure to get to the Duomo in Florence. Incredible artwork — better if you decide to do the climb to the top. You’ll see the dome’s artwork up close, and then get an unbeatable view of the city from the roof.

My favourite places in Italy were Venice and Rome.

And also as Eva said Florence. You have to see Michelangelo’s David at the Galleria dell’Accademia…it is truly breathtaking.
