“I will travel to New York City in Jan 29th. I am going to stay in the city for 4 days and I am looking for a good, wel localized and afortable hotel. What is better, stay near to Midtown in a not so good hotel or stay a bit far (sth) near to a metro?”

It depends on what kind of traveler you are. Well if you don`t mind walking a little choose the near to the metro, because there you can go anywhere and it will be a lot cheeper than the one on Midtown. But remember to not chose anywhere to far cuz won`t be a tourist area.
