Studying in Australia is extremely popular – last year over 185,000 students did so, and there are plenty of benefits to studying abroad. You get experience in a new country, expand horizons, he may be able to work over there (depending on his visa) which means he could return with work experience as well as a qualification. Also, Australia’s economy is doing well, and there are many industries (like IT) which are expanding rapidly, so there’s a large chance he could find employment there once he’s finished his studies.
