There are so many places to take good photos that you will find it hard not to run out of film/memory. Some of the best places are in the Piazza San Marco, from near the Rialto Bridge and espcially from the Vaporetti (the bus like ferries).

Any place you find beautiful is the best place to take a picture. As Whiffco says, Venezia has an abundance of beautiful places.

The thing about Venice is that ‘off the beaten track’ can be just a 10 minute walk from the main tourist drag… save some money and discover the back-streets…

Honestly, the best spot is from deck of a Water Taxi. It’s the Best way to see the city as well. Get a 3 day pass, and you will get into every nook and cranny of city. No reason you can’t do it in a day as well. It’s a sea bound city, so really the best sites are from that standpoint. You have to take all the Taxi’s at all times of day to get a real good look it’s fantastic. Have fun.
