By the way, I’ve stumbled over this site but I don’t know if they’re any reliable: http://www.livein-jobs.co.uk/free.html. I’ve thought about looking for jobs on the spot, but as I’ll be all alone it’s a little too risky.

Thanks Mizzi! I’ve never worked abroad before so I’m nervous about trying my luck alone while I’m there (haven’t found any travel buddy). In any case, I’m going. ;)
