I think the overstay fee is 500 baht per day. If you can avoid it I wouldn’t recommend it.

Will you be near or can you plan to be near a border?
Pop over and come back half an hour later, they’ll restamp your passport.

500 b/day. Prolly no big deal one or two days. I paid for one or two days over back in 2002 and I’ve been back 3 times since without a problem. One website said on the topic that it might jeopardize re entry. I suppose if you did this repeatedly you might get spanked.
Yes, you can jump over a border and walk back and get 15 more days, but prolly not worth rearranging you trip for.

Going to a neighboring border to exit and then reenter can be tricky and time consuming. This might be more hassle then its worth for a 2 day extension and the cost to do this can be more then the fee to pay for each additional day to extend your visa. I know for US citizens there is a Thai Immigration office we can contact that can issue a visa for more than the 30 days before arriving in the country. Maybe this website might help http://ukinthailand.fco.gov.uk/en
If you don’t have enough time to do that, another option might be to locate your Embassy in Thailand and they might be able to help you.
Have fun!

Hi There overstay is 1000bhat per day now.
If it’s at all possible try not to have a unofficial overstay.
You can get a extension on your visa while in Thailand.
If you need to apply for a longer visa at some time in the
future overstays go against your application. Also
the Thai exit people are pretty angry with over staters.
Have a great time In Thailand.
