The Grand Canyon is 450 km long and 30 km wide so one may spend weeks there if one so desires. ;-)

There are special park roads which approach the edge of the canyon (north and south rims) and there are many places to leave the car and walk to over look view points.

The Grand Canyon is located in a National Park and on each rim there are lodges where one may stay but they are usually full via reservations. So if you wish to stay near the canyon you will need to stay at an Inn a few miles north or south of the park.

One may easily just spend one day at the canyon. Or one may spend many days by venturing down into the canyon on foot or on burrow back.

Als there is a special railway coach which runs to the south rim daily.
