Thanks! Will check out DISHES for sure. I’ve heard the Paris buffet is good, and we like French. Have you been there?

Oh my, I have a very weak spot for good frites. My mouth is watering over the ancho chili pork medallions!

If you enjoy Asian food I would recommend Todai, it’s a buffet that includes many hot and cold Asian dishes, including the best Sushi I’ve ever had on a buffet.

While a little higher than moderately priced I would also recommend “The Steak House” inside Circus Circus…since I first stepped foot into Circus Circus (when I was 16) I vowed never to return. This last trip I broke down because of the recommendations for The Steak House and I believe it will be a stop every time we go now. Their dress code is “resort casual” I would call ahead to make a reservation. We didn’t have one and were able to be seated pretty quickly but I have heard this is not always the case.

Todai’s can be on the upper end of mid-range, but I absolutely agree that the food’s well worth it.

Oh, the hubs would like a steak house, thanks! (Well, me too.)

We have Todai buffets in L.A., and we used to go pretty often when we lived right in the city. You’re right, it’s good buffet sushi!

My wife reminded me that “The Steak House” would not fall under a high moderately priced restaurant. (My memory was clouded by the great food and service) It’s about $45 per person for the entree. I looked online and couldn’t find a menu

I would also recommend the Burger Bar for a quick bite…the burgers range in price from $10 to whatever your heart desires. I would recommend splitting a burger and saving room for a desert burger…which is the true reason to go there (for me at least). I have been three times and two of those three times I have had a problem with rude hostesses, The servers were good and the food made it worth it…but again I suggest this for a quick bite.

Yes, also forgot to mention it is inside Mandalay Bay. If you are near House of Blues take the escalator into their mall area and it will be on the left. (Across from Lush…and if you’ve never been in a Lush I recommend that as well)

The dessert burger is a warm glazed doughnut with other sweet items making up the different parts of a burger.

It’s better than my description makes it out to be (I promise)

The entire menu can be seen here

(it takes a few clicks but I couldn’t find a direct link)

I also recommend the Burger Bar for a low priced lunch or dinner. Don’t be surprised if you see a celebrity or two in there. Has happened both times I’ve stopped in there for lunch.

There seems to be a consensus about the Burger Bar. Thanks!

During the periodic 80% off sale $25 gift certificates are $2. The Hawaiian Tropic Zone at PH is one of the most central participants.

Darned if I remember the name of it, but there was this fabulous little kind of French bistro eatery in the shopping area of the Wynn. They had these amazing pastries, and delicious sandwiches on croissants. It was all awesome and a little more affordable. After awhile you get tired of the buffet scene and just want a nice light bite.

Sounds good! I’m thinking we need to keep it to one buffet. We don’t want to roll out of there, you know? :D

It isn’t the cheapest place (I think they consider it moderately priced) but the Gran Lux cafe in the Venetian hotel is AMAZING! Here’s their menu: http://www.grandluxcafe.com/menu.htm

They are also open 24 hours, so its a good option!

My suggestion is to go to one of the Tix 4 Tonight store fronts. Here’s the website for locations in Vegas.

http://www.tix4tonight.com/locations.html

They not only sell half price tickets for shows, but for dinners also.

We ate at Harrah’s “The Range” (a steak place with really good food, where you pay by the course) and the bill came and the total for 2 of us was about the price of a 1 person meal, I believe it was around $40-$50 for the 2 of us.

They do change the deals and places almost daily I believe, so check daily.

I hope this helps and ENJOY!!!!

The Top of the World at the Stratosphere is a big splurge but worth it. The view is amazing and the restaurant rotates so your view changes as you dine.

Cafe Ba Ba Reeba at the Fashion Show Mall- tapas restaurant. Love it!

If you get off the strip- this place is FABULOUS: www.sergiosrestaurant.com

La Salsa is good for cheap eats if you like Mexican.

My ultimate favorite is The Cheesecake Factory though :) I’m from Michigan…we don’t have one here.

Ooh, tapas? I love that. And when I suggest it the hubs always thinks for a moment I said topless, so it’s easy to talk him into. ;)
