I’d get the touristy stuff out of the way first:
- seattle center
- pike place market
- pioneer square (esp. the underground tour)
- ride the duck
- fremont troll
- ride the monorail
Just so you can say you’ve done that and gripe about how touristy it is when talking with fellow locals :)
Then you can see some of the more out of the way things like:
- Woodland Park Zoo
- Walk around Greenlake
- See a movie at Cinerama
- Uwajimaya in the Int’l District
- Madison beach (when the weather warms up)
That should keep you busy for a while!

You become an official resident after living there for 1 year. If you have a current utility bill to show, some companies or schools will consider that as proof of residency. They call it “Intent to stay”.
