I agree with four12, solo female travelers should stay out of Pioneer Square at night. During the day, however, there are some fun things to see & do. http://www.pioneersquaredistrict.org/

I have lived on Queen Anne Hill since birth, and it is very safe and accessible. A bus from lower Queen Anne to downtown only takes about 5-10 minutes.

Agreed with the above. Keep that in mind and stay anywhere in central Seattle, and you’ll be fine.

I would also advise you not to stay in any motel off Aurora Ave, north of downtown. If it’s not unsafe there, it will be seedy and unclean, most likely.
