A question about this place:
Hello everyone this is kind of URGENT I need to know where theres a place that I can go to in Calgary thats open at 6 in the morning, a place to go and hang out for awhile (2-3 hours)??

Depends what you need/want to do. If you just want somewhere to sit and drink some coffee, a Denny’s is a good bet. If you’re looking for somewhere free, well I’m not sure. Some Starbucks may be open that early, and their policy is to not care if you don’t get a drink. My wife used to work there, if they bug you then complain to the manager.

I have cable, and an espresso machine! But you might have to hide in the garage if my Wife wakes up…
Or if you don’t want to come to my house. Go just south of downtown, there are dozens of coffee places and diners on 7th ave, in Eau Claire, the best are on 4th St. approaching the Elbow river. I highly recommend Nellie’s (at any one of 4 locations in and around DT. All the people going to work will make it interesting and you can still probably sit outside at a few of the cafes this time of year. If you are at the airport to begin with, there is nothing worth seeing near there and you will need to get a cab to DT.

Mac’s on 8th street and 7th ave SW is always open. So is Humpty’s by Erlton Stampede Station.
If you want a free place to sleep and eat, it’s obviously not a nice place but the Drop-In just a block north of 3rd street East station

Mac’s on 8th St. and 7th Ave is a convenience store. As well, they sell crack right outside the door and 2 people have been murdered within steps of the place in the last 2 years. And the drop in centre? the Lady is looking to hang out for a couple of hours, not crash in a flop house. Great recommendations buddy, got any other travel advice? Beach holiday in Somalia? girls night out in Yemen?

It depends what someone means by urgent. Are we talking survival because you’re freezing or starving or a good place to go?
The Humpty’s by Erlton Stampede really is a decent place to hang out. Yes the Crack Mac’s is open all night and yes it’s shitty.
Sometimes people aren’t rich, Hengest. But loveluci since Hengest seems so concerned for your well-being (as we all are) and she lives there, I think you should give her a ring. I don’t live there any more but I pass through.
