“If it's Thira-Paraeus in the overnight ferry - which berth is the best? And if it isn't, which island would you recommend among Santorini, Corfu, Crete and Mykonos? I'm planning to be there this time next month.”

My friend recommend Santorini and added the following message about ferries:

You can take the ferry to the Cyclades (island group which includes Santorini and Mykonos) or you can take a fast boat (http://www.ferries.gr/). We opted for the latter since it cut down the boat time by three hours. If you want to use the high speed boat then you can buy your tickets here: http://greece-ferries.forth-crs.gr/english/npgres.
