I’m guessing if you’re travelling across Canada, you’re coming through on the #1—unfortunately, that is the highway that probably takes you through the least amount of interesting stuff! But in the southern part of the province, which won’t be too far from there, you might check out Grasslands National Park (stop in at the visitor centre in the town of Valmarie first to get info about hikes, etc.) or Cypress Hills Provincial Park (highest point between the Rockies and Quebec). The Big Muddy Badlands are also really cool, and some of the nearby towns like Moose Jaw, Eastend, or Wood Mountain are quite interesting little places. Have fun!

eh, it’s almost not worth it to only spend a day here, since it’ll take almost a day to cross it…
but if you’re crossing the southern part, I’d vote for either Cypress or the Badlands. Either that or try to find the Dunes. I’ve never been to see them, but Nature Sask published a book about than two or so years ago, and they’re honest-to-god desert dunes. pretty fantastic.
